Collinsworth, Jerry David DIANA -- Services for Jerry David Collinsworth, 57, of Diana, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Diana, with the Rev. Ross Worley officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Jerry passed away October 24, 2006, at his residence, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jerry was born September 8, 1949, in Dallas. He married Joellen "Jo Baby" Grace on July 5, 1974, in Fort Stockton. They had two children, Michael Lloyd and Brandy LeeAnn. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Jerry and Jo transferred to Diana from West Texas in 1979, when Jerry was employed by Arco Oil and Gas, now known as BP. He took early retirement in 1999, but continued to work construction with his brother, James, until his illness. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee and Effie Frances Collinsworth formerly of Bowie; sister, Barbara McGee formerly of Collinsville; and his precious and unique daughter, Brandy LeeAnn Collinsworth formerly of Diana. Jerry is survived by his wife, Jo; son, Michael Collinsworth of Diana; brothers, Henry and wife, Judy Collinsworth of Bowie, James Collinsworth of McKinney, and Whit and wife, Jessica Price of Anna; and sisters, Liz and husband, Mike Weatherly of Bowie, and Mary and husband, Ken Steigman of Plano. He also leaves behind his niece/daughter, Lori Woodward and her children, Christian and Jacob Gouldie of Diana; his always daughter-in-law, Amanda Gibson; his three much loved grandchildren who called him, "Poppin," Triston David age 6, Dayton Michael age 2, and Amber LeeAnn age 1 of Kilgore; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Hospice Inc., Dr. Koya, Teresa, Carol, and Michelle, along with all the other special angels at the Longview Care Center. The family requests that memorial donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to them or the Walnut Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
