Comer, Betty Lou 


Betty Lou Comer, 73, of Diana, Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2006. 
Born May 20, 1932, in Oklahoma, she was a 30 year resident of Diana, Texas. Betty, 
a registered nurse for 36 years, spent all her time caring for others. Mont G. Comer 
and Betty united in marriage August 11, 1950, in Ada, Oklahoma. She was preceded in 
death by her daughter, Betty Fain Traylor. She is survived by her husband, Mont G. 
Comer; daughter, Mara Lou Shires of Minden, Texas; son, Mont Gregory Comer of Diana, 
Texas; brothers, Jack Watson of Glennwood, Texas, and J.C. Watson and Frank Watson, 
both of Sanford, Texas; grandchildren, Sam Comer, Matthew Comer, Michael Comer, Ben 
Shires, Lacy Shires, and Kristen Shires; and great-grand-children, Briley Comer, 
Brynna Comer, and Madison Shires. Cremation arrangements are by East Texas Funeral 
Home of Longview.
