JAMES EMERSON COX 

Services for James Emerson Cox, 68, of Gilmer will be held at 
2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2002, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel 
in Gilmer with Dr. David L. Jenkins and Rex White officiating. 
Burial will be in Morris Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements 
are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. After 
a long illness, Mr. Cox died Friday, April 12, 2002, at his 
residence.

Mr. Cox was born May 22, 1932. He was a lifetime resident of 
Upshur County, a carpenter, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a 
member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, 
Janice, of Gilmer; two sons, Jimmy Cox of Waskom and Troy Cox 
of Gilmer; three daughters, Brenda Schoon of Gilmer, Becky 
Drennan of Gilmer and Jennifer Bruns of Gladewater; 15 
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, April 14, at the funeral home.
