Rites Held for Mary Cox, 94, County Native

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary M. Cox of Pritchett were 
held Friday afternoon in Croley Chapel with Revs. Jim 
Helton and J.C. Henderson officiating. Burial was in 
Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

At her death at 11p.m. on Nov. 22, Mrs. Cox, a native and 
lifetime resident of Upshur County, was 94 years, 2 months, 
and 17 days old.

Her husband, Wilburn Cox, died in 1938. She was a member 
of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Audie Cox of Pritchett; a brother, 
Marshall McIntosh of Kilgore; sister, Miss Laura McIntosh 
of Mineola; and five grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Grover McNair, Monroe Maberry, Hazel Craig, 
Troy Maberry, Ely Cooper, and Glen White.
