Cummings, Elmer

PITTSBURG -- Services for Elmer Cummings, 78, of Winnsboro, will 
be 2 p.m. today, November 20, 2006, at Piney Grove Baptist Church 
in the Piney Grove community, with Bros. Jerry Marshall, Bob Layman 
and Walter Allen officiating. Interment will be in Piney Grove 
Cemetery. Arrangements are by Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Cummings 
died November 18, 2006, at a Pittsburg medical facility. Born April 
25, 1928, in Leonard, he served in the U.S. Army and Air Force and 
was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a superintendent after 
37 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Betty Zane Cummings; 
sons, Tommy and Lee Cummings; and brother, John Cummings.
