Carnes, Ernest Henry Hopkins Memorial graveside services for Ernest Henry Hopkins Carnes, 79, of Ore City, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, in Rosewood Park Mausoleum of Longview, with Chaplain Richard Pruitt, of Southern Care Hospice, officiating. Mr. Carnes was born August 3, 1928, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Ernest and Mallie Carnes. He was retired from the U.S. Army, and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his children, Walter H. Carnes and wife, Cynthia of Lubbock, LaDonna Tidwell of Hot Springs, Ark., and Deborah Marie Ford of Mabelville, Ark.; brother, David Carnes of Pine Bluff, Ark.; half-brother, Russell Carnes of Sheridan, Ark.; grandchildren, Whitney Rodgers of Hot Springs, Ark., and Amber Shalchi of Honolulu, Hawaii; and close relative, Sam Carnes of Pine Bluff, Ark.
