Conley Jr., John Burge "Curley"

Graveside services for John Burge "Curley" Conley Jr., of Gladewater, will 
be 1 p.m. today, November 5, 2007, at Union Grove Cemetery, with Chaplain 
David Reeder officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the 
service at the cemetery. Arrangements are by East Texas Funeral Home of 
Longview.

Mr. Conley was born April 25, 1927, in Lanty, Ark., to John Conley Sr. and 
Delina Wells Conley. He passed away November 2, 2007, at his residence.

Mr. Conley served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the 
Coke-Cola Co. after 18 years and was a longtime resident of Gladewater.

Survivors include a son, Ted Conley and wife, Linda, of Gladewater; daughters, 
Georgia Ann Berman of Gladewater and Wanda Jean Buck and husband, Robert, of 
Houston; brothers, William Hobert Conley of Plumberville, Ark., and Lindell 
Conley of Russellville, Ark.; sisters, Rita Sue Lewey of Morrilton, Ark., 
Delina Ann Crafton of Morrilton, Ark., Millie Jean Mayhew of Morrilton, Ark., 
and DeAnna Berry of Huntsville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and several great-
grandchildren.

Mr. Conley was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Conley.
