Conner, Jean DIANA - Services for Jean Conner, 76, of Diana, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Ore City Church of Christ in Ore City, with Johnny Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery of Gilmer. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Mrs. Conner passed away December 2, 2007, at her home. Jean was born October 31, 1931, in Dallas County, to Frank and Ruby May White Jr. She was a member of Ore City Church of Christ where she taught children's Sunday school for many years until her health no longer allowed her to teach. Jean was active in the community as a cub scout dean mother, 4-H leader, PTA officer and Rural Letter Carriers auxiliary president. She was famous for her special yam pie recipe and won the Yam Pie contest for two years in a row at the Yamboree in Gilmer. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard Lewis Conner; son, Chris E. Conner of Diana; daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Thumper Donald of Diana, and Renee and David May of Plano; grandchildren, Jake Conner and wife, Ashley, Cara Hensley, Jesse Hensley, Kaleb Hensley, Jake Donald and wife, Kourtnie, Hollly Donald and Morgan Donald; great-grandchildren, Boston Ray Conner and Slayten Donald; sister, Sue Barber of Gilmer; special sister and friend, Leneave Wooten of Diana; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, ATTN: Tribute Gifts, Church Street Station, P.O.
