Copeland, Robert Wayne GLADEWATER - Services for Robert Wayne Copeland, 55, of Gladewater, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Jay Van Zandt and Glenn Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born June 28, 1952, in Gladewater, to Earlton Elwood and Monnie Ruth Copeland, he died Tuesday, August 28, 2007. He was a veteran of the United States Army. A member of the Nazarene church, he formed the singing group "Second Generation Vocal Band," and was its lead singer. He was preceded in death by his father, E.E. "Red" Copeland. He is survived by his wife, Frankie Copeland of White Oak; two daughters and son-in-law, Tomi Dee and Eric Johnson of Longview, and Lyndsi Nicole Fox of White Oak; three grandchildren, August, Alex and Austin; mother, Monnie Ruth "Mutt" Copeland of Gladewater; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Max and Connie Copeland, Rex and Cheryl Copeland, all of Gladewater, and Ricky and Lisa Copeland of Ore City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Billy Edge of Carthage, and Lisa and Bryan Frette of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening, August 31, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Published in the Longview News-Journal on 8/31/2007.
