Donald Leon Crowson 
(October 18, 1952 - December 30, 2013)

Services for Donald “D. L.” Crowson, 61 of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M, 
Thursday, January 2, 2014, at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day 
Saints with Bishop Jimmy Coulter conducting under the direction of Croley 
Funeral Home of Gilmer. Burial will follow at Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur 
County. Mr. Crowson passed away Monday, December 30, 2013, in Tyler. 

He was born on October 18, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Max Lloyd and Elma 
Dodge Crowson. He served in the U. S. Army and was a Dyno Inspector for URS. 
Mr. Crowson was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints 
in Gilmer and a member of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club. He married 
Joann Threadgill on May 19, 2012 in Hooks, Texas and she survives him.

He is also survived by father and step-mother, Max Lloyd and Marie Crowson 
of Manti, Utah; sons, Joshua Crowson, Tommy Wayne Fletcher, Charles Clinton 
all of Gilmer; daughters, Tracey Coffey of Hurst, Angela Berell of Rome, 
Texas, Kiturah Martinez of California; stepdaughters, Mary Jenkins and Tammy 
Fletcher of Gilmer; brother, Larry Max Crowson of Utah; sister, Kiturah Neppl 
of St. George, Utah; twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Crowson was preceded in death by his mother, Elma Crowson; sons, Brandon 
Crowson on March 9, 1987 and Dustin Crowson on April 3, 1995. 

Pallbearers are Robert Threadgill, Jim Moore, Johnny Threadgill, James 
Threadgill, Larry Threadgill and Royce Threadgill.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, from 6:00 
until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer
