GLADEWATER MEMORIAL - UPSHUR COUNTY GLADEWATER Graveside services for Lucille Spencer Daniel, 86, of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Gladewater Memorial Park with the Rev. Dick Dobbins officiating. Born on October 19, 1924, in Oklahoma, to Deller Lee and Jessie Chamberlain Spencer, she died on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. She graduated from Gladewater High School and received her bachelor s and master s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. She married Howard Daniel in Gladewater on December 23, 1948. She began teaching math in the Gladewater Independent School District and continued in that profession until her retirement. She then devoted her time to family members and to Spencer-Harris Machine and Tool Company. She was the founding regent of the Cherokee Trace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She served on the boards of Lee Public Library and the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ace and Monica Daniel of Austin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Larry Robbins of Silsbee and Debra and Frank Estrada of Austin; five grandchildren, Candace Daniel Anderson, Marti Daniel Moats, Brandy Lee Fuller, Katie Robbins Wells and Lee Spencer Robbins; and nine great-grandchildren, Zachary Anderson, Jason Anderson, Christopher Anderson, John Anderson, Matt Anderson, Jordon Moats, Cameron Moats, Olivia Moats and Claire Calnon.
