UPSHUR COUNTY - LONE MOUNTAIN CEMETERY


Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Mae Lange Davidson, 68, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Reverend Madison Caffey officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Davidson passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Longview.

She was born on September 2, 1946, in Longview to Perry Aubrey Lange and Florence Rose Lange. Mrs. Davidson was a beautician, a member of Little Mound Baptist Church and a certified foster parent.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Davidson; sons, Joey and Alex Davidson; daughter, Denise Warren Wright and Brandon Ryan all of Gilmer, daughters, Claressa Davidson Cockrill of Burnett, TX and Carlee Davidson of Gilmer; brother Henry Lange and wife, Peggy of Gilmer; sisters, Agnus Hix of Diana, Annie Copeland and husband, Manuel of Mt. Pleasant, Alice Chandler and husband, Sidney of Gilmer, Joyce Walker and husband, Jerry of Arlington; grandchildren, Cassy Wright, Aaron and Levi Cockrill, Ashley Sweaney, Nicole Ragain and Daniel Porter; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and foster children.

Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Byron Davidson; son-in-law, David Wright; sisters, Loraine Kohlleffellel, Sandra Stewart and twin sister, Vira Lange.

Pallbearers will be Perry Haney, Corey Plyard, Kenny Rash, Boomer Chandler, Marcus Copeland and John Cavitt. The honorary pallbearers are Joey and Alex Davidson.

The family requests donations be made to the ALS Foundation.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 21, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
