GILMER- Funeral services for Donna B. Despain, 90, of Gilmer, Texas will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Mickey Davidson and Reverend Paul Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Upshur County. 

Mrs. Despain passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was born on April 19, 1925 in Upshur County to Lawrence and Ora Ola Tolbert Hardman. She was a secretary, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher at Indian Rock Baptist Church. She was also involved with the Food Pantry and Bible Ministry. Mrs. Despain was a loving mother, and grandmother, who devoted her life to the Lord, her husband, and family. 

She is survived by her son, Dennis Despain and wife, Mary Helen of Gilmer; daughters, Brenda Shannon of Longview, Carolyn Cunningham and husband, Michael of Austin, Pat Peel and husband, Randy of Gilmer, Paula Harris and husband, David of Gilmer; sister, Maxine Ellis of White Oak; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. 

Mrs. Despain was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilton Gene Despain, and grandson, Jackson Peel. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
