ELLENBURG, Violet M. CARTHAGE — Graveside services for Violet M. Ellenburg, 91, of Carthage are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, in Sunset Cemetery in Gilmer with the Rev. Freddy Mason officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lipsey Family Funeral Home. Visitation at the funeral home will begin at noon on Monday, Feb. 24, with the family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Ellenburg died Friday night, Feb. 21, 2003, at Briarcliff Health Center in Carthage. Mrs. Ellenburg was born March 1, 1911, in Searcy, Ark. She was the daughter of Hugh and Sue Anna Parks Ashley. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She had lived in Carthage since August 2000, moving from Longview. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Ellenburg was preceded in death by her husband, Chesley Ellenburg, who died Jan. 27, 1973, and one son, Jack Ellenberg, who died Sept. 6, 1988. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Dr. Claude Eddy of Carthage; two sisters, Dorothy Helms of Longview and Martha Norwood of Corpus Christi; and a daughter-in-law, Anneliese Ellenberg of Garland. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Sabrina Silvernail and her husband, Jack, of Hooper Bay, Alaska; Gloria Bowen and her husband, Phillip, of Rowlett; Shelia Robinson and her husband, Ruston, of Garland; and Susan Ewida and her husband, Khaled, off Dearborn, Mich. Survivors also include four great-grandchildren, Shane Silvernail and his wife, Kelli, of Morrison, Colo.; Nicole Graves of Garland; Abdullah Ewida of Dearborn, Mich.; and Jolie Bowen of Rowlett.
