Everett, Neilan M. On June 5, 2007, Neilan Maurice Everett went to his Heavenly home. Neilan was born June 3, 1927, in Colfax, Van Zandt County, Texas, to Henry Leon and Carmel Enola Martin Everett. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was owner, and with his son, Kenneth, operated Everett's Grinding Service for 30 years in Longview. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Diana. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; brother, Jerry; and grandson, Blake Nathan Everett. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Winnie Sue Everett; son, Kenneth Everett and wife, Linda; daughter, Melanie Pirtle and husband, Steve; son, Robert Everett and wife, Sarah; loving grandchildren, Aliesha, Steven, Mason, Allison, Jake and Josh; brothers, Billy Joe Everett and wife, Nell, and Ralph Everett and wife, Helen; and sister, Diane Everett. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Reed Cemetery in Diana, Texas, with the Rev. Gary May and Dr . Bob Parrott officiating. Arrangements are by Welch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701; or First Baptist Church of Diana Building Fund, P.O. Box 96, Diana, TX 75640. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, June 8, 2007, at First Baptist Church along Highway 259 in Diana.
