Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Evans, 91, of Longview will be held 10:00 A.M on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Plunk officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mrs. Evans passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Longview.

She was born on October 28, 1922, in Ennis, Texas to Claude and Johnnie Hixton Sheppard. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold Evans of Longview; sons, Johnnie Herrera and wife, Candace of White Oak, Eddie Huerta and wife, Amanda of Monahans, Texas; daughter, Patricia Ann Long of Gilmer; brother, Floyd Sheppard of White Oak; sister, Billy Jo Whittle of Gladewater; 12 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Annette Lee Evans and Veda Henry; brothers, Trey and James Sheppard and sister, Claudia Twibell.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral .
