Florence, Frank Crosby 1962 Mr Frank Crosby Florence, well known resident of Upshur County, died at his home in Rhonesboro about 8am Saturday, July 28, after being in ill health several months. At his death, Mr Florence was 76 years, 3 months, and 24 days old.  He was born at Glenwood where he spent his childhood and youth.  He moved to Rhonesboro when 18 years old and began working for his brother, Mack Florence, and later formed a partnership. All during his active life he was in the cattle business. Three years ago he sold his ranch and cattle and retired. He joined the Baptist Church at an early age and took and active role in his church, most of the time serving as a deacon.  In 1910, he married the former Mable Schrum in Rhonesboro and she survives him. Loved by those who knew him, Mr Florence was known in his community as a counselor for young people. Also surviving are two brothers, Lesley Florence, a Gilmer attorney and Dr Stanley of Tyler. A few years ago another brother, Carroll E Florence, well-known Gilmer attorney, passed away.
