Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Francis (Pratt), 55 of 
Ore City, Texas were held Tuesday at Grubbs-Loyd FuneralHome 
Chapel in Diana, Texas with Wedena Oliver and Frank Casey 
officiating. Burial followed at Ore City Cemetery under the 
direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home. 

Miss Francis died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 at her residence. 
Miss Francis was born June 23, 1946 in Wisner, and has lived 
her life all over the United States. She found her home in 
East Texas. Her greatest accomplishment was in 1987 when she 
graduated from Diesel Driving Academy. She was a member of 
Camp Joy Church in Ore City. 

Survivors include her children, Madge Chapman, Camden, Ark.; 
Jay Polk,Thibodaux; Shane Polk, Jackson, Miss.; Tonye' Browning, 
White Oak, Texas; Leslie Stoufflet, Biloxi, Miss.; and David 
Pratt, Thibodaux and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death 
by her grandparents, Manly and Lou Ella Gordy;and Joseph and Etta 
Francis; and her grand-daughter, Savannah Diane Browning.
