SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY

Alma Ruth Fennell, 91, of Gilmer, died peacefully Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Mesquite, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Marion Palmer officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. She was born September 30, 1923, in Upshur County to Charlie and Maggie Willis. Mrs. Fennell was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Lawrence Wayne Fennell. She loved her church, family and friends and she especially enjoyed sewing and cooking for all of them. Mrs. Fennell is survived by two daughters, Blenda Davidson of Mesquite, Texas and Charlotte McSpadden of College Station, Texas; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
