Howard Dale Ferguson Sr. 
(November 18, 1933 - October 29, 2014)

Graveside services for Howard Dale Ferguson Sr., 80, of Gilmer, 
Texas will be held at Union Grove Cemetery on Saturday, November 
1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Brian Zappa officiating. 
Howard passed on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in Gilmer. Services 
are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Tx.

Howard was born to the late Howard and Dorothy Ferguson in Ore 
City, Texas on November 18, 1933. He was part of a large and 
loving family. Howard also served in the U.S. Army during the 
Korean War and later went to work as a welder. 

He married Joann Everett on December 26, 1964 in Longview, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joann Ferguson; sons and 
daughters-in-law: Howard D. Ferguson Jr. and wife Virginia, 
Michael Herndon and wife June; daughter, Sammie Hudspeth, 
daughter and son-in-law, Debi Proctor and husband Tim; brother, 
Robert Ferguson; sisters: Mary Davis, Eudean Heard, Judy Bailey, 
Nancy Thompson, and Robin Laastad as well as six grandchildren: 
Hope Knepper, Heather Glaze, Erin McPherson, Wesley Tucker, 
Hannah Tucker, and Dakota Hudspeth as well as six great grand-
children: Connor Knepper, Michaella Glaze, Aiden Tucker, Ethan 
Chisum, Ian Timmons, and Khloe Sharp. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Ferguson and 
Dorothy Davis Ferguson; brothers: John Ferguson and Jeff Ferguson 
and one sister, Joann Loftis.

Visitation will be Friday, October 31, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 
p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.
