Upshur County Obit - Mrs Myra E Gage Contributed by Lea Ann Tedford The Gilmer Daily Mirror: Jan. 2, 1931 MRS. MYRA E. GAGE DIED FRIDAY MORN At her residence near Pritchett, Age 82 years Mrs. Myra E. Gage, who had she lived until February wuold have been 83 years of age, died at her home near Pritchett, Friday morning at 3:15. Her husband preceded her to the grave nearly 40 years ago. He was a Federal solider and up to the time of her death she was a pensioner of the government. Mrs. Gage is survived by two daughters and a son, vix: Mrs. Zera Baird of Tyler; W.H. Gage at Homer, La, and Mrs. Belle John Williams of Seminole, Okla., besides a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Mr. U.W. Cox of Pritchett. She was a consistent member of the Baptist Church, and a noble christian woman. She had been sick with pneumoniaa and never fully recovered from its effects. Her funeral will take place at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the Hoover Cemetery near Big Sandy and Rev. T.A. Johns will conduct the funeral service.
