Dorotha M. Glidden 
(October 18, 1927 - October 13, 2014) 

Gladewater ~ Memorial gathering of friends and family for Dorotha M. 
Glidden, 86, of Gladewater, Texas will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 
at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Glidden 
passed away in Gladewater on Monday, October the 13, 2014. 

Dorotha was born in Blue Mound, Kansas to Clarence Arthur Townsley and 
Cora Edith Jackson Townsley on October 18, 1927. She worked as a Nurse’s 
Aide and was married to LeRoy Earl Glidden until he passed in September 
2001.

Dorotha is survived by her companion, Wiley Styers of White Oak; sons: 
Terry Leigh Glidden of Latham, Kansas, Michael Wayne Glidden of Altoona, 
Kansas and William “Pat” Glidden of Eldorado, Kansas; daughters : Sandra 
Kay O’Donnell of Gladewater, Texas, Debra Diane McDaniel of Interlachen, 
Florida, Denise Louise Carter of Gilmer, Texas, Tracy Lynn Fasanello of 
Gladewater, Texas, Tina Marie Richardson of Longview, Texas; brother, 
Clarence Townsley of Blue Mound, Kansas; sister, Margaret Scott of 
Independence, Kansas as well as 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren 
and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two grandsons: 
Craig Allen O’Donnell, Ronald Joe Burch Jr.; 2 brothers: Frank and 
Lindell Townsley; 4 sisters: Betty Brillhart, Alma Florence Gray, Vyrla 
Dean Miller, and Nellie Newman.

Cremation services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in 
Gladewater, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to St. 
Jude Children’s Hospital: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny
