Hilton, D. Homer GLADEWATER -- Services for Brother D. Homer Hilton, 79, of East Mountain, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Pat McNair officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born February 16, 1927, in Wichita Falls, he died Wednesday, March 14, 2006. He spent his lifetime serving the Lord. His pastorates included New Hopewell Baptist of Gilmer, Locust Grove Baptist Church of Gilmer, and Berean Baptist in Longview. For the past 42 years, he had been a missionary in Old Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hilton of East Mountain; two daughters and son-in-law, Marie Thornton of Gilmer, and Lois Marie and Vince Garcia of Red Oak; two sons and daughter-in-law, Albert James Hilton of Longview, and Danny and Margarita Hilton of Arlington; 10 grandchildren; five step-children and spouses, Jonathan and Vlora Williams of Iraq, Champ Dwayne and Leslie Johnson of Dallas, Kimberly Nicole and Ronny Kerr of White Oak, Bobby Brandon and Carrie Johnson of Longview, Tammy Kaye and Corey Jordan of Longview; two brothers, Jimmie Hilton of Houston, and Dale Hilton of Gilmer; sister, Modena Grooms of Longview; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Billie Hilton; first wife, Bobbie Hilton; daughter, Lois Spoon; and brother, Glenn Hilton.
