Holdeman, Tom DIANA -- William Thomas "Tom-W.T." Holdeman, 83, passed from this earthly home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Mr. Holdeman was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, who received delight from just sitting on the back porch with family and friends. Tom was a great man who will forever live in our hearts. Mr. Holdeman was born April 3, 1923, in Troup, to Erasmus Oliver and Linnie Waller Holdeman. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Holdeman is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Correne "Dene" Holdeman of Ore City; one son, Tommy Holdeman of Longview; daughters, Betty Brookshier of Longview, Patricia Wilson of Ore City, and Pam Roberts of Ore City; brother, Dale Holdeman of Alabama; two sisters, Ginger Pearson of Pasadena, and Faye Box of Conroe; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Diana, with the Rev. Robbie Caldwell and the Rev. Dale Holdeman officiating. Interment will be in Ore City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, August 25, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Published in the Longview News-Journal on 8/25/2006.
