Horton, Frankie Gene Services for Frank Horton, 80, of Gilmer, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006, at Valley View Baptist Church in Gilmer, with the Rev. Fred McElroy and the Rev. Steve Jeffery officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Arrangements are by East Texas Funeral Home. Mr. Horton was born October 9, 1926, in Sulphur Springs, and he died October 11, 2006, at his residence. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during World War II, and a longtime master brick mason. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Horton; sons, Frank, Jay, Fred, Bruce, Michael, Roger, and Marty; and daughters, Rhudale, Lanise, Doris, and Laura. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the church.
