Hubbard, Gerald Russell "Russ" DIANA -- Funeral services for Gerald Russell "Russ" Hubbard, 60, of Diana, will be 2 p.m. today, April 10, 2006, at Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Diana, with the Rev. Perry Crisp and the Rev. David Massey officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Creek Cemetery with military graveside rites. Arrangements are by Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Diana. Mr. Hubbard passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006, at a Longview hospital. Mr. Hubbard was born January 2, 1946, in Benham, Ky., to Robert E. and Minta L. Hubbard. He was a salesman and a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Hubbard of Diana; sons, Gerald Russell Hubbard II of Lineville, Ala., Kerry Easley of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Phillip Easley of Diana; daughters, Diedra Huckaby of Oxford, Ala., and Jeannie Villarreal of Diana; brothers, Howard Hubbard of Hawkins, and Johnny Hubbard of Big Sandy; sisters, Margaret Sturgill of Whitesburg, Ky., Venis Coots of Lenox, Mich., Thelma Osterman of Hawkins, Linda Burroughs of Hawkins, Barbara Langford of Hawkins, and Brenda Mask of Liberty City; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Herman Hubbard. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
