Huckabee, Kent Ray 

Graveside services and a celebration of the life of Kent Ray Huckabee, 47, of Gilmer, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater, with Steve Johnson and Eddy Bowser officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Kent was born July 27, 1959, in Longview, to Edward and Ruth Huckabee. Mr. Huckabee served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 until 1981. He was a carpenter, employed by First Choice Construction, but above all he was a world-class musician. Music was Kent's life. May Kent's music now be spread throughout eternity. Surviving Kent is his loving wife, Jeanie of Gilmer; son, Dustin Huckabee of Gilmer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Jeff Cotton of Shreveport, La., and Debbie and Gary Green of Longview; parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete and Ethlyn Breland of Longview; a number of nieces and nephews; numerous aunts and uncles; and a host of close friends.
