Hagler, Verl and Marion GILMER - Services for Verl David Hagler, 73, and Marion Stevens Hagler, 70, of Gilmer, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Sand Hill Church of Christ, with David Cotham and Danny Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery of Upshur County, under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mrs. Hagler died Monday, July 23, 2007, in Upshur County. Mr. Hagler died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in Longview. Mr. Hagler was born March 24, 1934, in Upshur County, to John Buford and Martha Ophelia Shaw Hagler. He was retired from Texas Eastman in Longview. Mrs. Hagler was born June 4, 1937, in Upshur County, to Claudie M. and Ida Mae Bailey Stevens. She was a homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Hagler were married July 2, 1954, in Upshur County. They are survived by their one daughter and son-in-law, Freda and Jerry Collier of Canadian; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Judy Hagler, David and Susan Hagler, James and Cheryl Hagler, and Mark and Marylee Hagler, all of the Sand Hill Community of Upshur County; 13 grandchildren, Brandon Robinson, Laura Westbrook, Serena Robinson, Jessica Hagler, Jeromy Hagler, Aaron Hagler, Heather Hagler, Falon Hagler, James-Lewis Hagler, Andrew Hagler, Matthew Hagler, Morgan Hagler and Mason Hagler; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hagler is also survived by his siblings, Geneva Burke of Snyder, Ellis Hagler of Sandhill, Donald Hagler of Rockwall, Francis Young of Longview, and Lindley Hagler of Sand Hill. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Granville Hagler, Glendaree McNamie and Johnie Hagler. Mrs. Hagler is also survived by her brothers, Harol Stevens of Utah, Lee Stevens of Gilmer, and Billy Stevens of Gladewater. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Stevens. Pallbearers will be Brandon Lane Robinson, Jeromy David Hagler, Jerrod Aaron Hagler, Matthew Thomas Hagler, Morgan Anthony Hagler, Mason Lee Hagler, James-Lewis Hagler and Andrew Derrick Hagler.
