Harkins, Charlie Elton

Funeral services for Charlie Elton Harkins, 36, of Ore City, a former 
longtime resident of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 
27, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Reverend Wayne Spanhanks 
officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Bear Creek Cemetery of 
Linden, Texas, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.

Mr. Harkins passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007, at a hospital in Dallas.

Charlie was born September 2, 1970, in Longview, and he was a lifetime 
resident of Longview. He was a 1989 graduate of Pine Tree High School and 
attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. He graduated from 
the Kilgore College School of Nursing and was a paramedic with Champion 
E.M.S. in Longview.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Harkins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, LaVerne Harkins of 
Longview; wife, Nicole Harkins; twin daughters, Sommer and Alexis Harkins 
of Longview; sister, Becky Harkins Sprayberry and Wes Blalack; twin sister, 
Charlotte Greene and husband, Toby; sister, Angela Harkins Rothacher and 
husband, Cody, all of Longview; nieces and nephews, Derek, Julia and Alyssa 
Green, Miesa and Rylon Rothacher, and Jeremy and Todd Harkins; and sister-
in-law, Kathy Harkins of Longview.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening, June 26, 2007, at the funeral 
home.
