Billy Wayne Hart Sr. GILMER - Graveside services for Mr. Billy Wayne Hart Sr., 78, of Ore City, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Ore City Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hart and Melvin Smith officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Hart Sr. passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010, in Ore City. He was born August 16, 1932, on Caddo Lake in Mooringsport, Louisiana. When he was a young boy, he was a guide for people on Caddo Lake. His whole life was spent fishing, when he wasn't working. At the age of 15, Billy joined the U.S. Army where he spent 11 years, 4 months and 20 days. He was also a veteran of the Korean War. After being discharged from the Army, he spent 30 years in the trucking industry. After being diagnosed as legally blind, he retired. The next two decades of his life, he was a guide and commercial fisherman on Lake O' the Pines. The last few years of his life he operated a bait shop from his home in Ore City. He is survived by his wife, Janice R. Hart of Ore City; children, Ricky Hart, Michael Hart and his wife Susie Hart, and Tim Hart; brother, Max Greman and his wife Bertie; sister, Mary Jane Kent; grandchildren, Jennifer Hart, Jeremy Hart, Johnathon Hart, Jacob Hart, Jackie Hart, Jason Hart, Joe Hart, Jenny Hart and William Hart; great-grandchildren, Collin Hart, Lane Waldon, Madison Hart, Rachel Hart and Tyler Hart; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy W. Hart Jr.; and brothers, Jack Hart and Jimmy Greman. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hart, Johnathon Hart, Jacob Hart, Jason Hart, Joe Hart and William Hart. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, October 28, 2010, at the funeral home.
