Hesse, Dorothy Parsons  
 	
GILMER -- Services for Dorothy Louise Parsons Hesse, 83, of 
Big Sandy, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, at 
Croley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hopewell 
Cemetery of Upshur County, Texas. Mrs. Hesse passed away on 
Wednesday, February 28, 2007, in Grand Saline, Texas. Mrs. 
Hesse was born August 8, 1923, in Gilmer, Texas, to Marion 
Loftis and Lula Mae Ferguson Loftis. She was a member of New 
Hope Baptist Church and retired from housekeeping at U.T. 
Tyler. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmo 
Parsons; and granddaughter, Kim Steadman Evans. She is 
survived by her husband, Ray Hesse of Tyler; son, Elmo 
Parsons Jr. of Gladewater; daughters, Lou Hewitt of Pritchett 
and Darlene Steadman of Mineola; brother, Moody Loftis of 
Latch Community; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be Scott Hewitt, Jason Lane, Justin Lane, 
Travis Evans, Bill Horne and John Smith. Visitation will be from 
6-7:30 p.m. this evening, March 1, 2007, at the funeral home.
