Holmes, Todd   	

GILMER - Services for State Trooper Todd Holmes, 29, of Gilmer, will be 
held at 2 p.m. today, March 17, 2007, at Alpine Church of Christ in 
Longview, with Paul Fike and Jeff Procter officiating. Trooper Holmes was 
killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Harrison 
County, Texas. Arrangements are by Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer.

He was born September 29, 1977, in Plainview, Texas, to Terry Donald 
Holmes and Augusta Dawn Simons. Todd served his country in the U.S. Navy 
from 1996-2000. He married Stephanie Dawn Pirtle on October 21, 2000, in 
Canton, and they moved to Gilmer two years ago. Todd was a member of 
Gilmer Church of Christ and a Department of Public Safety State Trooper.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Holmes of Gilmer; father and 
stepmother, Terry and Jennifer Holmes of Lindale; mother, Dawn Holmberg 
of Fox Island, Washington; three sons, Tyler, James and Jason Holmes of 
Gilmer; an unborn daughter, Jocelyn Holmes; two brothers, Trevor Holmes 
of Canton, and Tanner Holmes of Cottonwood, Arizona; paternal grandparents, 
Jimmy and Rita Holmes of Plainview; and maternal grandmother, Ernestine 
Simons of Canton.
