~ Services for Gay Nell Humphries, 78, of Gladewater, Texas will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Prentis McGee officiating and interment following at Oakhill Cemetery in Bettie, Texas. Gay Nell passed Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Longview, Texas.

Gay Nell Humphries was born to Homer Edward Vick and Mavis Dean Green Vick in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 14, 1936. She was the wife of Jerry Earnest Humphries and the owner and operator of The Fork Restaurant in Gladewater, Texas. She was also the owner and operator of The Pea Patch, Ellis Carpet Villa and Texas Interiors of Kilgore. 

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Larry Don Huggins; sister, Patricia Trimble; three grandchildren, Chrystal Erickson, Breanna Huggins, and Hunter Huggins and a nephew, Carson Trimble

Gay Nell is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Billy Michael “Mike” Huggins and Eddie Joe Huggins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
