Jones, Bertha C.    

GILMER -- Services for Bertha C. Jones, 84, of Sand Hill community, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel of Gilmer, with the Rev. Madison Caffey and the Rev. Teddy Ott officiating. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2006, at Woodlawn Garden of Memories in Houston. Mrs. Jones was born July 25, 1922, in Houston, and she died August 24, 2006, at her residence. She was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, DeWitt Jones; and daughters, Martha Ann McConnell, Dixie Shaw, and Terri Cheatwood. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
