Jones, Dorwan Odell 
  	
GILMER -- Services for Dorwan Odell Jones, 83, of Gilmer, 
will be held at 3 p.m. today, February 16, 2007, at Croley 
Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Brother Ray Thompson 
officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will 
follow in Enon Cemetery of Upshur County. Mr. Jones passed 
away Thursday, February 15, 2007, in Gilmer. Mr. Jones was 
born April 21, 1923, in Wood County, to Elbert Clayton Jones 
and Bernice Elizabeth Riley. He served in the U.S. Navy 
during World War II, was a member of Enon Baptist Church and 
a barber for 55 years. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his 
wife, Doris Maureen Jones; son, Steven Odell Jones; and 
brother, Norman Jones. He is survived by his son and daughter-
in-law, Jim and Alesia Jones; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy 
and Jerry Skinner, Lana and Hershell Wingfield and Carolyn and 
Charlie Griffith, all of Gilmer; brother, Donald Jones of 
Gilmer; sisters, Nina Keel of Gilmer, Lillie Tuel of Gilmer and 
Iwana Hager of Longview; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dustin Jones, Kip Geers, 
Perry Jones, Terry Jones, Henry Wilburn and William Bates. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Barton, Wayne Davis, Louie 
Armstrong and Justin Farmer. Memorial contributions may be made 
to Texas Home Health, 3220 N. Fourth St., Longview, TX 75605. 
Visitation was be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening, February 15, 
2007, at the funeral home.
