Missionary Carrie Mae Harris King Kelly Missionary Carrie Mae King Kelly was the first born of fourteen children to Spencer and Correen Hudson Harris on January 29, 1924 in Carthage, Texas. She attended the public schools there in Carthage. She confessed her hope in Christ Jesus at an early age and united with the Wonder Grove Baptist Church in Carthage, Texas. The family later moved to Gilmer, Texas and after moving there, she met the " apple of her eye" Willie King. Upon her arrival in Gilmer, she became a member of Lake Providence Baptist Church, and remained a faithful member until she relocated. In 1948, Carrie mived to Fort Worth, Texas She united with the Rock Of Ages Church Of God In Christ, and under the leadership of Elder General Jackson she was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. She later met and married Brother George Kelly and they remained a loving family until his demise. In 1972, Carrie was led of the Lord to unite with the Harris Temple Church OF God In Christ under the leadership of her brother, Elder S.K. Harris. She was a licensed Missionary, Mother of the church, Sunday School Teacher, served on the Pastor' s Aide and was also a District Missionary. Missionary Kelly will be remembered as a " Prayer Warrior" because she didn't mind praying for you anywhere or anytime. Missionary Carrie Kelly was called form " labor to reward" and eternal rest on Tuesday, the fourth day of July from the DFW Medical Center of Grand Prairie, Texas. Left behind to forever cherish her undying memories: her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Beverly Sneed King; her daughters, Willie M. Petty of Fort Worth, Texas, Faye Webb of Arlington, Texas, Betty J. Pippins Alexander and Diana Jones both of Fort Worth, Texas; her brothers, Willie D. Harris, Elder S.K. Harris, Elder Henry L. Harris, Elder Joe L. Harris all of Fort Worth, Texas, Spencer Harris, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, Bennie L. Harris and Austin Harris, both of Fort Worth, Texas; her sisters, Melvine Warren, Hazel Henderson, and Addie Sanders all of Fort Worth, Texas; her sons-in-law, Minister Hardee E. Petty, Ocie Webb and Lonnie Pippins, Sr.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Her father, mother, husband, one brother, and two sisters preceded her in death. Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park Arlington, Texas
