Kurpias, Marie J. Mass of Christian burial for Marie J. Kurpias, 91, of Gilmer, will be at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Gladewater Tuesday May 1, 2007, at noon with Father Michael A. Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Tyler. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. today, April 30, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road in Longview. Mrs. Kurpias passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007, in Gilmer. She was born February 26, 1916, in Chicago, Illinois, to Albert and Antonina Sabaj. She was an accountant for Alden's in Chicago and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Whitehouse, where she was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary . She is survived by her three children, Deanna Myers and husband, Glenn, of Brandy Wine, Md., Zachary Kurpias and wife, Phyllis, of Bristol, Tenn., and Margueritte Alley and husband, Les, of Gilmer, Texas; grandchildren, Theresa Youngblood and husband, Billy, Jeffery Alley and wife, Becky, Glenn Myers Jr., Melissa Meadows and husband, Jon, and Julie Grice and husband, Russ; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester T. Kurpias; brother and sister-in-law, John and Lana Sabaj; and sister and brother-in-law, Stephine and Eugene Kuniciki.
