GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY


GLADEWATER — Ms. Tommye Sue Castleberry Keith departed this earth to be with our Father on August 18, 2011, at the age of 75.

Services for Ms. Keith are with Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011, at Croley Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Lowe officiating. Interment will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, August 21, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. 

She was born August 30, 1935, in Gladewater, Texas, to C.D. "Rabbit" and Orpha Pelky Castleberry, deceased. 
She graduated from Gladewater High School in 1953 and later attended nursing school at SMU. After spending many years in Amarillo, Texas, she moved to Burleson, Texas, in 1987. She retired in December 2010 and moved back to the Piney Woods of East Texas at Lake Hawkins.

She has been a lifelong member of Gladewater Church of the Nazarene. She loved the Lord, her family and her friends. She was a wonderful daughter to her parents, a loving compassionate mother to her children, a fun loving "Gangie" to her grandchildren and a one-of-a-kind storyteller to all. Every person she met was a potential new friend and another person for Tommye to love. Her sweet giving spirit is truly inspirational to every one that ever knew her.

Her parents, infant twin sister and her daughter, Cheryl Sue Keith, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Keith of Lake Hawkins; granddaughters, Ashlie Keith Daniels and Rick Walters of Kilgore, Savana and Jason Barnett of Lake Hawkins and Deidre Keith of Lake Hawkins; grandson-in-law, Cody Daniels of Orange; four great-grandchildren, Katlyn Daniels, Madison Barnett, Elyjah Daniels and Weston Keith; along with cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. 

Pallbearers will be Donald B. Keith, Donald Sherlock, Stanley Teeter, Tim Stovall, David Smith and Don Paye.

Knowing her loving and giving spirit, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of East Texas.
