John Wesley Lagrone passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 1962, at the age 
of 80 years, 6 months, 2 days. He was born in Van Zant County, Texas 
on April 1, 1880. He married Aber Lee Barton in Juaquin, Texas. He 
had been a Baptist since a young man. 

Survived by: His wife, Aber Lee Lagrone of Gilmer; three sons, David 
R. Lagrone of Houston, Doyce F. Lagrone of Houston, and one step-son, 
Roy Barton of Tenaha. He was also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Johnnie 
Hubbard of Kingston and 1 step-daughter Mrs. Lola Bond of Gladewater.
Also, surviving him are: 22 Grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 
two sisters: Mrs. Kate Davis and Mrs. Sue Thomas of Dallas. Date of 
service Oct. 5, 1962 --Hour 2 p.m.

Place of service: Croley Chapel 
Place of interment: Cherokee Cemetery
