Maddox, Henry Curtis 


GILMER -- Services for Henry Curtis Maddox, 94, of Gilmer, will be held 10 a.m. 
Friday, May 12, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel of Gilmer, with the Reverend 
J.C. Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery of Upshur 
County. Mr. Maddox died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, in Gilmer. He was born April 2, 
1912, in McDuffey County, Ga., to J.T. Maddox and Trudie Lee Maddox. He was a 
farmer and rancher. Mr. Maddox is survived by his wife of 72 years, Leona Maddox 
of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Pat Maddox of Gilmer, and Mike and 
Tracie Maddox of Gilmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Marcelene Clemens of Gilmer, 
Joyce and Eugene Foster of Gilmer, and Jane and Steve Ragan of Eustace; 10 
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by his son, Oland Wayne Maddox; three brothers, Clarence Maddox, 
Woodrow Maddox, and Melvin Maddox. Pallbearers will be Curtis Hart, Rex Youngblood, 
Bill Beavers, Ruben Jones, Darrell Wilson, and Charles Cox. Memorials may be made 
to the Heart'sWay Hospice, 1306 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
