HOWARD DEAN MCGEE
 
Funeral services for Howard Dean McGee, 64, of Dallas were held 
Friday, Sept. 2, at Croley Chapel with the Rev. Grady Brittain 
officiating.  Burial was at Chilton Cemetery.

Mr. McGee died Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Garland Memorial Hospital 
after a long illness.

Born May 17, 1919 in Upshur County, he was a maintenance man for 
Buckner's Baptist Home, and was of the Baptist faith.  He was an 
Army veteran of World War II.

He married the former Jewel Turner on Jan. 10, 1948, and she survives 
him.  Other survivors include a son, Bobby Gene Watson of Houston; a 
daughter, Mrs. Darla Tackett of Wylie; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice 
Reeves of Gladewater, and Mrs. Madeline Johnson and Mrs. Frances 
Davis of Big Sandy; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ricky Wilemon, Ronnie Powell and Tommy Pullman.
