McNeely, Samantha Michelle 


GILMER -- Private memorial services for Samantha Michelle McNeely, 22, of Gilmer, 
will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of 
Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Samantha passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006, 
in Gilmer. Samantha was born February 16, 1984, in Longview, to Otis Earl McNeely 
and Claudia Ann Wheat McNeely. Samantha is survived by her father and step-mother, 
Otis McNeely and Sabrina Neckel; mother and step-father, Claudia McNeely and Michael 
Shirley; brother, Christopher McNeely; and nurses and caregivers, Cheryl Grimmett, 
Pat Knapps, Christy Carter, Jennifer Shaw, and Sissy Walker. A memorial trust has 
been set up at Austin Bank in Gilmer.

Pritchett Community Center, with the Rev. Jacque Boyd 
officiating. Interment will be in Sand Hill Cemetery. 
Cremation arrangements are by Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of 
Gilmer. Ms. McNeely was born February 16, 1984, in Longview, 
and she died June 10, 2006, in Gilmer. Survivors include her 
mother, Claudia McNeely Shirley; father, Otis McNeely; and 
brother, Christopher McNeely.
