Mitchell, Axie  
 	
GLADEWATER -- Funeral services for Axie Mitchell, 83, of Gladewater, will 
be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, 
with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial 
Park. Born February 14, 1923, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, she entered into 
eternal rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2006. She was a 1941 graduate of 
Wills Point High School and the Dallas School of Cosmetology. She owned 
Axie's Beauty Shop and later managed the Holly Shop. She was a member of 
the First Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Clayton 
Mitchell of Gladewater; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheron and 
Richard Smith of Gladewater, Pam Martin of Carrollton, and Latressa and 
Brad Watson of Frisco; and 11 grandchildren, Wade and Shannon Hagan, Tracie 
and Steve Resendez, Heidi Hagan, Rodney and Terri Carrington, Barry and 
Paige Stephenson, Holly and Anthony Bonnette, April Martin, Eric and Jessica 
Gostenik, Austin Watson, Lindsey Watson, and Craig Watson. Pallbearers will 
be Wade Hagan, Craig Watson, Rodney Carrington, Austin Watson, Brad Watson, 
and Jimmy Martin. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday 
evening, November 3, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
