HUGHES SPRINGS -- Services for Willie Montgomery Sr., 84, of Diana, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006, at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church in Ore City, with the Rev. Mary Tennison officiating. Burial will follow in New Prospect Cemetery of Harleton. Arrangements are by Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Mr. Montgomery died January 28, 2006, in Longview. Born September 10, 1921, in Marion County, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, and retired from Lone Star Steel. Survivors include his sons, Willie L. Montgomery Jr., Doug-las Montgomery, and Allen Montgomery; daughters, Shelia Cooper, Devoria Hicks, and Flora Smith; sister, Johnnie M. Lynn; and brothers, Esque and Ennis Montgomery. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m., prior to services, at the church.
