She made a public confession of Christ as her Savior in her early womanhood and was a servant for Him the balance of her life. As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she could not be excelled. She was humble, kind, gentle, sympathic and everything it takes to make a life beautiful and Christ like. If she had enemies, she loved them too. Her unselfishness made to her, nothing too good for others, yet all was too good for her. The influence of such a life should exist through generations to come. [ Emma Lou Weldon was married to George W. Read, son of Mary Ann Elizabeth Willingham Read.
