Martindale, James R.   	 

GILMER - Services for James R. Martindale, 87, of Gilmer, will be at 10 
a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel of Gilmer, 
with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial 
Park of Gilmer. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd 
Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mr. Martindale passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in Gilmer.

Mr. Martindale was born December 19, 1919, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to 
Thomas and Carrie Martindale. He served in the U.S. Army during World 
War II. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Little Martindale.

Mr. Martindale is survived by his son, James R. Martindale Jr. of West 
Columbia; daughter, Carolyn Ann Cole of Sealy; four grandchildren; and 
four nieces.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening, June 28, 2007, at Grubbs-
Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
