Services for Pat McNeel, 75, of Gilmer will be held 10a.m. Saturday May 14, 2016 at Rosewood Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery. Under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Friday May 13, 2016 at the funeral home.

Pat McNeel was born on July 21, 1940 in Garfield, Arkansas to Lee Andrews McNeel and Manda Osburn McNeel he passed away May 11, 2016 in Gilmer.

Pat was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished every second spent with his family and was always there to support the activities of his children and grandchildren. His faithfulness to his family was only second to his faithfulness to God. Pat truly had a servant's heart. He loved the Lord and served him through many capacities. 

He was a long-time member of Rosewood Baptist Church and served as a deacon and treasurer for many years. He was on the board of directors for LifeWord Media Ministries as well. His community was blessed to have such a faithful and selfless man. Anyone who ever needed anything could count on him. 

Pat served 20 years on the school board for Harmony ISD. He was also involved with the H-Club and loved showing his support for his Harmony Eagles. He was a true leader for his family in every way. 

Pat was preceeded in death by his parents, wife; Linda Hymer McNeel, and sister; Betty McNeel

Mr. McNeel is survived by his sons; Rick McNeel and his wife Lesia, also Ronnie McNeel and his wife Tara. Brothers; Billy McNeel and his wife Sue, Norman McNeel and his wife Susan. Sister; Mary Ann Brown and her husband Bill. Grandchildren; Nick McNeel and his wife Stephanie, Anna McNeel, Drew McNeel, Hunter McNeel, Brett McNeel. Great grandchildren; Kinley McNeel and Kambry McNeel.
