PLEASANT HILL CEMETERY - UPSHUR COUNTY


June 16, 1918 - February 23, 2015

Helen Rose McKenzie Miller, 96, was born in Sulphur Springs, TX on June 16, 1918 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 23, 2015.

Mrs. Miller was a resident of Longview and a life-long member of the First Baptist Church. She volunteered at Pinewood Park Elementary, Foster Middle School, Longview High School and numerous charitable and faith-based organizations throughout Gregg County. 

Mrs. Miller was an employee at LeTourneau University as an assistant librarian until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Al and Etta McKenzie; brother Aubie McKenzie, her husband of 61 years, James Carl (JC) Miller, and daughter, Patricia Miller Witt.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Elizabeth Worley and husband Ken of Dallas; brother Barney McKenzie of Dallas; son, Allen Mac Miller and wife Delilah of Humble; Son-in-Law David Roger Witt of Tyler, Grandchildren, Dr. David Roger Witt II MD and wife Tracey of Longview, Dr. Mark Allen Witt MD and wife Jamie of Longview, Michael Allen Miller of Frisco, and Matthew Gene Miller of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Great Grandchildren, Taylor Witt, Allyson Witt, Ace Witt, and Elizabeth Wall.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Arbor Terrace and Health Solutions Home Health of Kingwood for their loving and compassionate care during the final chapter of her life.

Gravesides services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2nd at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pritchett Texas under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
