Palmer, Marion Spicer GREENVILLE -- Marion Spicer Palmer, 84, of Gilmer, passed away February 11, 2007, at a hospital in Longview. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today, February 13, 2007, at Forest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, 5100 Interstate 30, Greenville, Texas. The Rev. Larry Combs will officiate. Mrs. Palmer was born February 2, 1923, in Cash, Texas, to Charles E. Spicer and Cecil McMillen. She married Glenn Palmer on October 12, 1942, in Corpus Christi. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pritchett, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; parents; infant daughter, Sharon Ann Palmer; brother, Charlie Spicer, and sisters, Selma Renfro and Alyne Mulkey. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Charles and Brenda Palmer of Longview, and Glenn Palmer Jr. of Nacogdoches; nieces, Linda Hopewell, Elizabeth Martin, Ann Starkey and Marilyn Spicer; nephews, Roy Renfro Jr. and Charles Spicer III; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
