GILMER -- Services for Bill E. Patterson, 58, of Gilmer, will be held 10 a.m. Friday, 
May 12, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer, with Dr. David Jenkins and Chase Moore 
officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. 
Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Patterson died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, 
in Gilmer. He was born June 30, 1947, in Texas City, Texas, to Billy Ralph and Alice 
Ludeen Stout Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a member of Texas Forestry Association and the 
Logging Council. He was also a longtime friend and partner with Tilman Davis in Patterson 
and Davis Logging for 34 years. He is survived by his wife, Fran Patterson; parents, B.R. 
and Ludeen Patterson of Winnsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle Evans and Keri Patterson 
of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Gerald Jones of Gilmer; brother and 
sister-in-law, Bick and Wanda Patterson of Winnsboro; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy 
and Ricky Reneau of Winnsboro; and two grandchildren, Evan Luke Patterson and Riley Mathew 
Patterson. Pallbearers will be Pat Camp, Brad Bowles, Mike McHenry, Matt Davis, David 
Davis, and Rusty Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tilman Davis, Sam Lindsey, Tommy 
Eatherton, Billy Mack Smith, and Ricky Reneau. Memorials may be made to the American
